Contribute

gunlaws.global gets more accurate every time a knowledgeable reader steps in. The model is simple: on any article you can suggest an edit, an editor reviews it before anything goes live, and once your change is published you are credited for it. Nothing you submit is shown to the public unreviewed, so a good-faith mistake never becomes a public error.

The best contributions are anchored in primary law. If you can point to the actual statute, regulation, or official government page β€” a ministry of justice, a police licensing authority, an official gazette β€” your correction is far more useful than a summary from memory. Cite the source, quote the relevant clause where you can, and note the date it applies from. Corrections that flag something as out of date are just as valuable as new text.

Citing sources. Back your claims with footnotes: drop a marker like [^1] where the claim is made, then define it at the bottom with [^1]: Firearms Act 2019, s.12 β€” https://example.gov/act. Prefer the primary law and official government sources (a ministry, police licensing authority, or official gazette) β€” links to those trusted official domains are published as followed links, while everything else is marked nofollow, so a solid primary citation carries the most weight.

The contribution system is live in beta. Create a contributor account, verify your email, and then use the β€œSuggest an edit” link on any article to propose changes.
